#photoadayjuly - 5 thru 8

it's over. back to reality. our 2012, week-long (with two weekends!) family get together has come to an end. technically I was working virtually while away at the beach but that doesn't count. lulu and I had fun mixing in all the family and fun to our #photoadayjuly challenges. here's the 411:

  • day 5 / on the floor: my brother's boys are 3 & 5 and one of the highlights of their visit up from alabama is getting to play with all of his vintage matchbox cars. they're everywhere and can be lethal on bare feet if you don't watch your step
  • day 6 / chair: we sit in raffia chairs around my great-grandfather's 12-foot long antique tailor's table for dinner each night (truth: if you're wearing shorts, you'll have a hard time getting rid of these marks)
  • day 7 / garden: these english roses are from my parents' neighbor's yard and I covet them. (my mom has a gorgeous garden too** but I get eaten alive by mosquitoes when I get close) I have zero garden at my house so I'm very envious of their color and fragrance
  • day 8 / lunch: while not an inspiring photo in and of itself, it's a reminder of how well we ate last week. my sister is deserving of her own post - she made something from this issue of gourmet for every meal

there you have it - snippets of our week at the shore. how's your summer going so far? follow me on instagram and twitter for more fun!

**these are my mother's lace cap hydrangeas - their colors never disappoint
