jackson hole - le fin
I'm pretty sure my photos won't do this final evening justice. If only Jamie Beck was part of our group. Our farewell dinner was to have started with a sleigh ride but since it's been so unseasonably warm it was deemed unsafe on the usual path so we drove into the 'campsite' with a quick brake for a moose crossing (I shit you not).
The setting for the night was a picturesque campground nestled between the Teton and Munger Mountain ranges along the banks of the Snake River. How great a location is it? So great that Woolrich shot their fall/winter catalog there last week and Pottery Barn Kids is shooting their fall/winter catalog there this week. We started our evening with champagne and a bonfire set up by owner AJ DeRosa. Not only was AJ our host but a master story teller and knowledgable outdoorsman.
After our al fresco hors d'oeuvres we moved inside the tent for our 5 star dinner of grilled Elk and Steelhead Trout. Carole-Malia Schneider created all the botanical arrangements and business partner Kevin styled the tent with fabulous wool blankets, oriental rugs and found elements. Again, here's where Jamie Beck would've been great to have along because all I got were squidgy iPhone photos. Trust me when I say the entire evening was perfect. After dinner in the large tent, we moved next door to the tipi for dessert. Don't be fooled by the word 'tipi' - it was furnished with chairs, couches, more blankets and a wood burning stove in the middle. An added treat? Large, flat river rocks were heated on the stove to put in your shoes and under your feet for a hot rock massage. Genius.
We booked our event through the Four Seasons Jackson Hole and couldn't recommend AJ and his group more. We spent time that night talking with AJ and Kevin coming up with logo and branding ideas and agreed that social media would be HUGE for them. AJ says it's a work-in-progress but we all offered to get the word out. Could you do me a favor? Head over to the Snake River Vintage Sleigh Rides & Wildlife Snowshoe Adventures on Facebook and give them a 'like'. Tell them the Möet Hennessy team sent you.
