michael-hubertI'm in love with my new painting I bought this weekend. I love BOTH of my new paintings but the other beauty is still at my parents' place so I can't admire it just yet. or show you what it looks like. at a portable 11" x 14"  I've been moving it around the house each day, trying to figure out where I'll enjoy it most (everywhere) I'd love to be able to see all the time, everyday but that's not really possible. mhubert

it's an acrylic on wood by Michael Hubert and titled 'tangerine marsh' and I love the casual inset frame he created. this view could very easily be looking out from my parents' deck with the mounding sea grass and fabulous sunset - one of the many reasons I named my jewelry business 'seagrass studio' in the beginning. I think I've tentatively settled on my bedroom, by my nightstand with a sweet vase of hydrangeas from my very own yard (it only took three years for them to bloom) (also, pardon the squidgy iphone photo) nighstandjust wait till you see the other gem I picked up by Michael at the art show and you should know that I have every intention of turning this into wearable art using the palette of colors.  as always: stay tuned...
