so this happened over the weekend and it was great. we drove down for the day for a little lunch and all the pre-prom prep (and to start the moving all their garbage home process.) we're only ever there for sporting events so it was pretty great to see all the kids cleaned up and spiffy. lulu wore this dress - with cap sleeves, a sweet bateau neckline and a deep v in the back - because there's an unwritten rule that only seniors wear full length dresses. honestly, I think I would've picked this regardless of length. we kept it simple with my earrings from forever ago and simple strappy sandals from nordstrom rack.we accidentally dressed entirely in blue and white (my madewell flares are SO COMFORTABLE) which has now been decided to be the uniform for our giant family portrait this summer. speaking of which - last weekend kicked off the unofficial start of summer and I'm ready. first up is my college reunion, then the end of the school year for the girls, and then SUMMER VACATION!
PSA/FYI: this dress looked fabulous but finding the right size was really frustrating. lulu normally wears a 2 so I ordered a 2 and a 4 just to be safe. both were too small so I returned those and ordered a 6 and an 8 (just in case.) oddly, the 8 was too tight but the 6 fit.
