spring break 2016: swim style

swim style / elizabethcraneswartz.comfirst things first - I use the term 'swim' loosely. I prefer to lounge poolside and will usually only dip myself gingerly in the pool if it's scorching hot outside and the water is reasonably warm. if I'm at the beach, the ocean needs to be warmish and like glass but the kids and Bob, on the other hand, love to swim and the bigger the waves, the better. swim style / elizabethcraneswartz.com

if I can't be at the ritz carlton at key biscayne enjoying champagne while I cool off then I'd at least like to look as though I'm at the ritz carlton. I snagged this one-piece halter suit at the end of the summer last year and love how well it coordinated with my black and white stripes theme this spring break.swim style / elizabethcraneswartz.com

for coverups I keep it simple with something I can easily put on - like a men's dress shirt - or step out of because I feel weird pulling things over my head in public. it just feels like I'm getting undressed and there's too much 'exposure' at risk with your hands up in the air. trust me - I know this from experience.

I picked up these high-waisted bottoms at H&M (they're sold out online but available in stores) and the black top at gap (and another in white) to ease my way into wearing a two piece again. it's been YEARS but I've been working my ass off (almost literally) at spinning for the last six months and my confidence is at an all-time high. swim style / elizabethcraneswartz.com
