BACK TO SCHOOL: FIGURE DRAWING

in my search for studio space, I stumbled upon a few things that sounded like they might be fun to try - like figure drawing. I haven't done this since college and I was a little worried 1) it would be super hard and 2) I'd feel like an imposter.

after realizing that no one there cared if I can actually draw, I just concentrated on not overthinking things and keeping my eyes on own paper. I came with a small-ish notebook, a crappy soft pencil, and no eraser, found a bench on the edge of the group and just started. over the course of the three hours, the model did a few short poses and then 3 long poses.

faces, hands, and feet are real hard and there's no instructor or instruction so it's 'draw on your own' - I just ignored them and wrestled with the bigger parts.

the pawtucket arts collaborative holds the three-hour figure drawing session every saturday - anyone else want to try?
