LATELY
I’m writing this from florida and I’m not mad about it. I especially love that recent travel by trains and planes means long stretches of reading. you can find me over on goodreads but here’s what’s been loaded on my kindle:
- This is How it Always Is - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- one of the best I’ve read in a long time. a family learning and embracing their youngest child’s gender fluidity.
- The Heart’s Invisible Furies - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- another great read. this spans decades in Ireland and the US but the thread is masterfully woven and the characters are 👌🏻.
- The Clockmaker’s Daughter - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
- I wanted to love this because Kate Morton is one of my favorites but it was so hard to keep track of all the different eras, the characters and their connections to each other. it had so much potential…
- The Alice Network - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
- maybe I didn’t love it because it was the second book in a row where the story switches back and forth from one decade to another?
- The Summer Wives - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- I love Beatriz William’s characters and this is a perfect, indulgent beach read.
- I went from this to Beatriz’s The Secret Life of Violet Grant (Schulyler Sisters #1) and was not disappointed.
- Verity - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
- it’s no Gone Girl but not a bad read.
- Tin Man - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- a lovely, wonderful and sad love story beautifully told.
- Nine Perfect Strangers - ?
- just started this one but I’m optimistic
