CARD ART NEEDLEPOINT ORNAMENTS
remember when I designed my own needlepoint ornaments based on my annual holiday card art? I had 13 (of I’m not sure how many) stitched and I attempted to finish them myself last year. they came out horribly and I really thought I’d ruined them. fortunately JoAnn of Island House Needlepoint came to my rescue and saved them.
I couldn’t wait to hang them this christmas but wanted to showcase them rather than scatter them on the tree and figured the stairs would be a great way to display them.
please ignore the unhung mirror and gross carpet - those are two things that have been on my to do list since we moved in two years ago. 😬
I’m in love! and now I’m motivated to stitch the outstanding card art designs in this weird end of year time. the older ones are pretty straightforward but #cardart21 is going to be a little tricky.
I’ve been wanting to paint some and make them available in my shop but just haven’t gotten to them. there’s a new canvas printing service I’d like to try and these would be perfect. especially to keep them at a lower price point.
now to find some archival storage to keep them fresh until next year.
