PAINT CHIP COLOR STUDIES

I cannot be trusted in a home depot or lowes - I will pilfer as many paint chips that I can fit/hide in my pockets. I’ve been doing it for years and even made #cardart2018 entirely out of shades of my green paint chips.

and ever since I started designing and painting needlepoint canvases, this paint chip collection has been an enormous help in sorting out color palettes before committing to the canvas and preventing expensive mistakes and changes. 

the paint chips have helped to plan some of my abstract painting homework and I’ve even used them for collages. the response to posting one of my color studies on instagram makes me think I should make them available for purchase. I just need to figure out the best adhesive (I love a good excuse to use rubber cement!) and on which paper/base.
